April 27th, 2007
Wittenberg Offroad Raceway will host its first open practice of the season tomorrow, April 28th. The
motocross track will be open from 10AM to 4 PM.
The Dirt Drag Strip will be ready for test and tune as well from 1 PM to 4 PM. This will be a test and tune
as much for the Ultimate Dirt Drag ChampionshipsTM as it will be for racers as the “strip” is a work in
progress at Wittenberg and UDDC is in the process of testing it’s light set-up. The run as it sits is
slightly shorter than it will be for the June 23rd event but will still provide racers a good opportunity to
“test and tune.”
Loretta Lynn’s bound – if you’re a hopeful for the Amateur Nationals in Tennessee the track in
Wittenberg is a must. With the proper prep this track ruts up very similar to LL, you will see three, four,
even five ruts in almost every corner tomorrow, perfect conditions for racers young and old hoping to
make a name for themselves at this year’s National Championships. Rapid Angels Motorcycle Club is
hosting it’s one and only MX of the season in Wisconsin Rapids on Sunday – only about an hour from
Wittenberg. You might as well make a weekend out of it.
Directions – Hwy 29, just East of Wittenberg take Robin Road to the South (this is a cross road, not a
full-blown exit) take Mohawk Drive to the East. Track is ¼ on your right hand side.
Degeneffe Dominates! – Eddie Degeneffe decimated the field of A riders at the opening round of the
Ultimate Quad MX ChampionshipsTM at the Arkansaw Cycle Park last weekend. Eddie has been
known for his “on the edge” riding style in the past and has obviously put in some hard work in the off-
season. Gone is that “fly-me-flag” boarder line out of control racer and in its place is a smooth veteran-
like rider. Eddie swept 5 of 6 motos in the Production A, Open A and 16-24 A classes. Degeneffe has
arrived and everyone will be lining the fences at Nordic Mountain on May 20th as Gauthier and Janssen
join the fury for quad supremacy at round 2 of the series. Complete results from the weekend can be
found at www.fantasymoto.com
$320 – the amount of money raised via raffle at the Arkansaw event that will be added to the “Triple
Crown” purse at the Ultimate ATV ExperienceTM in Crandon on July 28-29, 2007. Added purse for the A
classes is up to $2320 and growing.
Keep it on four, or at least two!
