What's news? 11 days and counting to the Grand Opening of the Motozone
in Tigerton, WI. Things are looking pretty good in Tigerton as we are
starting to put the final touches on the new facility. In addition to the racing,
the Village of Tigerton has a whole weekend of activities planned for it's
annual Lumberjack Days.
Tigerton Lumberjack Days
A Family Weekend Celebration
Each year the last weekend of August, Tigerton comes alive with family
activities. The Advancement Association and American Legion Post host a
family weekend that features a lumberjack contest, cow chip bingo and
many kids' games hosted by area non-profit groups like girl scouts, boy
scouts and youth sports clubs. Music and a free corn roast highlight
Saturday evening. Local church groups provide food and homemade pies.
Sunday features a large parade and more live music. Bingo is play and a
raffle is held with the top prize of $1,000. Plenty of cold beverages are
always available. All funds raised go towards Tigerton area projects.
Activities at the track: August 23 and 24th.
Let's start with racing and the FCP Northern Cup Motocross Series on
Saturday. Throw in some swimming and fishing in the Embarrass River
which runs through the facility. Add a poker run for all the recreational ATV
enthusiasts on Saturday. End the day at the corn roast in town and start all
over again on Sunday with both the Ultimate Quad MX Championships
presented by Janssen Motorsports and the Ultimate Dirt Drag
Championship presented by MaxPower RPMs. Top the weekend off with
some beautiful camping in one of Wisconsin's best kept secrets - Tigerton.
Stay tuned to FantasyMoto.com for the addition of two ATV classes to the
split NCM program on Saturday. All bike classes will run before any ATV's
hit the track on Saturday. See weekend schedule for more details.

Prizes and giveaways: Dunlop motorcycle tires, ITP ATV tires, goggles and
grips from Scott USA. One big bore kit from MaxPower RPMs - your choice
of make/model, countless contingency from Scott USA and Acerbis. In all,
almost $10,000 in product for the weekend and all you have to do is be there.

Last week the Fantasy Moto team attended the Supercross at the
Winnebago County Fair in Oshkosh and we had a down right ball.
Motokazie put on a professional program with classes for both bikes and
quads. The track was a pleasent suprise with a challenging yet safe layout.
Everyone from Peewee's to Pro's seemed to enjoy the event. Luckily for
Wisconsin racers, Motokazie has another event this week at the Brown
County Fairgrounds in DePere on Wednesday, August 13th. Registration
opens at 3 PM with practice at 6 PM and racing at 7 PM. It's great to see
people in the grandstands and we as racers need to support the people that
put our sport in front of the public. For more on the event, visit
