Keep the 2-stroke ALIVE! (more below)
Upcoming events:
Sept 8 – Pit Bike Event - this first event comes from the boys over at Fort Fremont Marine: Come check
out our September 8TH Pitbike Event. We will be giving away free Pitster Pro hats with registration.
First, second and third places will receive plaques, with first place also taking home a new Z1R
helmet. Remember to pre-register and save $5. There will be a raffle/drawing for prizes for all
registered riders. We also received the new X4R, so if you don't get in before the challenge to check it
out, that would be a great day to see it in action. If you don't have a bike, no problem, come out and
demo one. Riders, we are "sprucing up" the track for this event to make it fair for riders that haven't
rode the track and to keep things interesting. Depending upon the rider turn out we may have a head to
head race and best trick comp. If you have any questions please e-mail or call Ron Lund at 920-446-
3220.
Sept 9 - Open Practice at Wittenberg Offroad Raceway - 10AM to 4PM
Sept 16th - Northern Cup Motocross Series Points Race at Wittenberg Offroad Raceway - Kawasaki
Contingency. This will be a Northern Cup Points race but it is NOT a D16 point race.
Trade your Brrrrraaaaaaap in for BZZZZZZZZ on Sept 16th. Revive the 2-stroke! If you still compete
aboard a 2-stroke MX bike we’re guessing you fall into one of two categories: 1. Your competing in the
schoolboy class or 2. Your getting frustrated from getting beat by lesser skilled riders aboard 4-stroke
machinery. Gone are the days of rebuilding a top end for under $1000, yet we managed to rebuild a
125 three times (please, don’t ask, *&%^) last summer for a total of $300! So what’s our point? We’ve
decided to toss in the towel on promoting “pit bike” races and instead give 2-stroke lovers something to
look forward to at our Sept 16th Northern Cup event by featuring several 2-stroke only classes in
Wittenberg next Sunday. The two classes will be 2-stroke Open (125cc and up) - cash payback; and 2-
stroke B/C (again 125cc and up) as a trophy class. All regular NCM/D16 classes will run as well.
Friday vs. Scottyb – once a year we have to break out the bikes and make sure we still have what it
takes so we figured we might as well have some fun along the way. Long time Fantasy Moto track
specialist Dan Friday has challenged scottyb to a 4-stroke vs. 2-stroke war. Dan will be competing
aboard a 450 Kawasaki Thumper – scottyb’s bike of choice is of course a YZ125cc (is that a built in
excuse or what?). Game on – if anyone has a respectful yet humiliating idea, we’d be more than happy
to consider it for the loser of our little grudge match.
Sept 22 - Ultimate Quad MX Championships - double points round at Motosports Park in Byron. (More
info available soon)
Sept 29 – Northern Cup MX Championships at Pine Ridge Raceway.
October 27th - Ultimate ATV Experience Banquet - MX, Dirt Drag and Mud Bog Awards Banquet. Click
here for hotel reservations and dinner reservations.
Brush the cobwebs off that 2-stroke in the back of the garage – giver a little TLC and join us in
Wittenberg on the 16th for more-great Northern Cup Motocross Series racing!
