Weyerhauser Race #1 The track was great with almost no dust and the weather was cool with a light mist at the end of the day but the racing was great. Pee Wee rider Aries Knop was determined in her races with Luke Hansen to be on top. These mini riders put on a great show swapping the lead many times. Aries won the stock 70 and stock 90 classes. PeeWee Mod class was all CJ Compton until he shredded a belt and some other parts. McConnell won the Peewee mod class but he gave some parts to CJ and CJ was able to get the win in the Open Mod class. CJ also ran the Blaster Class with Sean O’Brien who had an 85cc dirt bike motor in the blaster frame. Pretty cool machine, but man the home made silencer was way loud! He seemed pretty proud of it as he ripped around the track. |

Open C quad got a few 400 riders in the second round and I was impressed with the way Zak Mohr rode his ex 400. I have seen a lot of riders still do good on the old ex 400. Just look how fast Nick the Tick was on one a few years ago. If you want to try racing pick one up and ride in the 400 class. It is still competitive and cheap fun, try it out. Speaking of Nick “the Tick Molter” he crushed everyone in B class races. I bet he wished Travis and Bill where in it to give him some competition. But I think with a little time on his new ride Derek Birdsill will be giving him a challenge soon

Bikes: The kid I liked to watch was Cole Harrington on his 65. This kid rocks! He was doing every triple and double on his 65cc! He was fast on his 85 but Tyler Gast was just a little faster and won the 85cc group. These two are going to be one to watch the rest of the season. 122 Tanner Harrington was also fast with a win in the older age 85 class and a solid second in the 100cc class. Big Bikes:C class is always interesting. I like watching Brookes #3 develop into a good rider over the past couple of years. In one of his races he went down and got back up and passed everyone but one or two riders. That shows determination. He will do well this year even though he did not get in the top three this time. Taylor Gast moved up on a bike and he battled with Crazy Jake Kozial all day long. This year crazy Jake is keeping it on two wheels which got him in second and third for his two classes. B cash class was fun to watch Chas Kadlec was holding off Andy Spofford for a while but Andy would not be denied. He was just fast…super fast. Chas was riding the fastest I have ever seen him ride and looked good. |

Pro quads: Chad Roesler was a man on a mission. He just never gave up. He lost the lead a couple of times but held on for both class wins. Tyler Wolf started each race strong and looked to be a bit faster but he faded after a few laps and held on to third. Mark Olejichak did great leading for a while and making Chad really work for win. |
